Fire Cadet Program

The Tolleson Fire Cadet Program is a volunteer opportunity for individuals who aspire to join the fire service. Designed to help future cadets develop character, mental fortitude, and physical ability, the program provides hands-on experience and mentorship from professionals in the field.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Cadet Program, applicants must:

  • Be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Hold a valid driver’s license
  • Pass a background check
  • Provide a sports physical
  • Submit a completed Cadet Application

Commitments

Cadets accepted into the program will commit to:

  • Earning an EMT Certificate within 12 months
  • Passing the C-PAT Exam within 12 months
  • Completing ride-alongs (12 hours per month)
  • Attending training meetings (1 per month)
  • Participating in community events hosted by the City of Tolleson
